I'm super poor and looking for something affordable, if possible. can anyone recommend a crêperie, cafe or bistro place in downtown / plateau / quartier latin that would be open on a saturday for lunch and a bit later, say 1pm to 5pm. just a nice place where you can get a sandwich, crepes or salad for lunch and then can stay a bit longer with a coffee and a good dessert and talk things over with friends. any ( Read more... )

I'm thinking of having a garage sale this weekend at my house in Mile End, but the Plateau borough website doesn't explicitly state if a permit is required. Unfortunately, the borough office doesn't seem to be answering their phone either! Does anyone know if a permit is required for this kind of thing? I would really hate to be fined. Thanks!
